Teghout Residents Again Blocked Road Demanding Jobs

The road leading to "Teghout" CJSC has been blocked for four hours already. The residents of Teghout settlement in Shnogh enlarged community, Lori Region, went out to the streets at 6 o'clock in the morning demanding from the administration of "Teghout" CJSC to solve the problem of their hiring. Residents have blocked the gates intended for transport, but do not prevent employees from entering the company.

In his conversation with EcoLur, Teghout resident Martin Shakhkyan said that the meeting of of "Teghout" CJSC executive director with the delegation of the residents consisting of four people took place on September 1. Shakhkyan, who was present at the meeting, mentioned that the company representative did not say anything specific to them. “We need specific terms: even if they hire us in stages. But there must be a signed document that 10 people will be hired by X time, in this way up to 50 people will be hired.” According to Shakhkyan, their demand also states that those who will not be employed should receive 40,000 AMD as a social benefit from the company.
