The conclusion of Lebanese "ELARD" company, which carried out the examination of the Amulsar project, is further examined by other organizations. RA Minister of Environment Erik Grigoryan said this at the press conference held on December 25, noting that they are now trying to appeal to more authoritative structures within international processes.
"ELARD has identified some inconsistencies, such as erroneous estimates of evaporation data. It was the raw material. ELARD did not conduct any research or calculations. The hydrometer service has provided data to justify the concern raised by ELARD. We are now trying to argue through more authoritative structures within international processes that this data is not properly represented because evaporation data is very important in context. If evaporation is three times less, it means more water, so more water needs to be purified.
And according to Lydian's preliminary plan, there will be no need to purify the water for the next five years, as evaporation is high, and so on," as Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Erik Grigoryan said at the press conference held on December 25. Referring to Jermuk mineral water examination conducted by Lydian Armenia, Grigoryan called it incompetent; “The Jermuk waters were compared to 5 different criteria.
One was World Health Organization's drinking water standards, the other the EEU bottled water norms, and the third - our surface water norms. No one has anything to do with natural mineral water. And that research was just incompetent research, and in no way reflected the ostensible dangers that the organization wanted to present in relation to Jermuk's mineral waters."
