On February 13, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is in Berlin on a working visit, visited the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Foundation where he covered the issue of Amulsar gold mining project.
Nikol Pashinyan. "I am, personally, as the Prime Minister of Armenia, equally interested and not equally interested in having this mine developed. I am interested if it turns out that operation of this mine in Armenia will not cause any irreversible environmental damage. I am not interested in finding out that the operation of this mine in Armenia will lead to environmental disasters.
Not only am I not interested, but under such circumstances I cannot allow this mine to be operated. If I find out that environmental risks are controllable, I will support that project. If I find out there are uncontrollable risks, I will not support that project."
