

"EcoLur" Informational NGO presents "Meghradzor: Mining Impact Trace " new video, where which experts and residents of Meghradzor express their opinions and concerns about mining.
In order to find out the impact of Meghradzor gold mine on the environment and the health of the local residents, Czech "Arnika" NGO, together with "Center for Community Mobilization and Support" and "EcoLur" Informational NGOs, conducted a chemical pollution research in the areas adjacent to the mine and in affected Meghradzor settlement. Czech specialists took samples from the mine's backfill, adjacent soils, gardens, hair and urine of Meghradzor residents. The samples are currently being examined in a laboratory in the Czech Republic.
This video has been made by EcoLur, an informational NGO, as a part of the project “Civil Society Involvement in Chemical Safety Advocacy in Armenia” .
