RA Nature Protection and Inspection Body has released brief information on the results of the inspection, proposals and other activities in regard to “Lydian Armenia” CJSC. The press release of the Inspection Body says,
“RA Nature Protection Ministry has been proposed to declare void state expert assessment statement № ԲՓ-35 approved by RA Nature Protection Minister on 29.04.2016 based on the newly emerged environmental factors.
“Lydian Armenia” CJSC has been assigned to refrain from performing any activity related to soil management in Amulsar mine till the implementation of the new expert assessment by a competent body based on the proposal of RA Nature Protection and Inspection Body and the result-based adoption of the expert statement.
Head of Inspection Body has applied to RA Prosecutor General in regard to the mining of masses without soil management right by “Lydian Armenia” CJSC to find out the probability of corpus delicti in their activity and to proceed in the set procedure.
An administrative proceeding has been initiated towards “Yeghegnadzor WUC” to find out the conformity of law of the water supply from kechout-Zaritap irrigation pipeline to “Lydian Armenia” CJSC for industrial purposes.
An administrative proceeding has been initiated towards Jermuk Town Municipality to find out the conformity of law of the water supply from “Yot Aghbyur-Gndevaz” aqueduct in Gndevaz community to “Lydian Armenia” CJSC permitted by Gndevaz Village Head, as well as the issue of the permit for the installation of non-static crushing stations in the construction stage.
RA Prime Minister has been submitted a report proposing to carry out inspections in the subcontracting companies having performed construction works in Amulsar mining project.”
