

As of 16 April, 2022, the second power unit the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) has started undergoing an annual planned precautionary maintenance for 73 days, the re-commissioning is planned for 28 June, as the ANPP informs.
During the planned precautionary repair, it is planned to carry out medium repair of the reactor with partial overload of the active zone, capital repair of No. 4 and 5 main circulating pumps, current repair of No. 1 and 6 main circulating pumps, capital repair of No. 4 and 5 steam generators, medium repair of turbine generators.
During PPR-2022, the emergency cooling of the active zone, reliable power-sprinkler systems, as well as the support systems of the turbine installation will be continued.
In addition to the staff of the main plants of the ANPP, specialists from Russia, Croatia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and some other countries are also engaged in this maintenance.
The specialists of RA Nuclear Safety Regulatory Committee also have a special role in the process.
