The Armenian government has not yet decided on the model of the nuclear power plant to be constructed. "We are considering proposals for nuclear power plant models not only from Russia and the United States but also from various other countries. However, a final decision has not yet been made," Davit Khudatyan, the newly appointed Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, stated during the press conference held on January 9.
The minister mentioned that, by government resolution, a new organization under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure is being established. This organization will be responsible for determining the final model of the nuclear power plant, overseeing certain aspects of the construction work, and preparing technical specifications.
