RA Government has recognized public eminent domain over the ownership of 54,414.2 m2 of land area belonging to individuals belonging to Ptghni Community in Kotayk Region, Armenia, where 54318.4 m2 of these land areas are agricultural land areas. The land areas will be used for the construction of a new compressor station for Abovyan Underground Gas Storage Station (UGSS).
According to the rationale of the executive’s decision, the gas-compressors of Abovyan UGSS have practically exhausted all their resources as a result of long-term operation close to the critical regimes.
RA Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that there are landslides in the area adjacent to the above-mentioned area, and suggested conducting professional site studies before the construction of the station. This proposal was accepted for information.
