

The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body reports that 45 cases of violations of ambient air protection requirements were recorded during intensified inspection activities carried out in Yerevan and several regions of Armenia between 22 June and 10 July 2026.
The inspection activities were aimed at detecting cases of the illegal transportation of fertile topsoil, the transportation of bulk materials (sand, cement, plaster, and gravel) and construction waste without dust-proof protective covers, as well as violations of ambient air protection requirements at construction sites.
Administrative fines totaling 3,150,000 AMD were imposed for the 45 recorded violations.
The highest number of violations involved the transportation of bulk materials without dust-proof protective covers. A total of 12 cases were recorded in Yerevan, 13 in Armavir Region, 3 in Kotayk Region, 4 in Gegharkunik Region, and 1 in Aragatsotn Region.
Violations of ambient air protection requirements during construction activities were recorded in Yerevan (5 cases), Kotayk Region (4 cases), and Aragatsotn Region (1 case).
In addition, two cases of the illegal transportation of fertile topsoil were identified in Kotayk Region.
