In 2018, Lake Sevan Trout Recovery and Fish Breeding Development Foundation let out 90,000 items of young fish into the rivers flowing into Lake Sevan. According to the Facebook page of the foundation, on 25 May around 60,000 items of young fish (average weight – 0.64 grams) of Gegharkouni species were let out, while on 16 October 30,000 items of summer species were let out into the rivers. This measure has been carried out in the frames of the development program of Lake Sevan Trout Recovery and Fish Breeding Development Foundation.
