Children and adults competed in 3 sports at once in the Sevan basin

On 10 September 2022, "Tri4All" triathlon competition, which has become traditional sport competition and gained great interest among the public, took place at "Kaputak Sevan" beach. It is an Olympic Sport competition which includes three components: swimming, cycling and running. The competition has been organized by TriClub Yerevan triathlon club for the 9th time.

As in 2021, TriClub Yerevan triathlon club cooperated with the "Environmental Protection of Lake Sevan" (EU4Sevan) project co-funded by the European Union and the German government, carrying out an awareness raising campaign about the preservation of Lake Sevan during the competition. The competition was attended by EU4Sevan team leader Christian Henschel and the project team, as well as other officials, young participants of various physical fitness and sport and healthy lifestyle lovers.

As a result of the cooperation with the EU4Sevan project, the importance of Lake Sevan as an ecosystem and a unique source of fresh water was once again emphasized and highlighted among the public, raising the public’s awareness about the issues that the lake faces and increasing the prospects of being informed about the importance of the lake.

The competition took place in a friendly and lively atmosphere. All the participants who overcame the competition received medals, and the little participants received surprise gifts from the EU4Sevan project. More than 100 sports enthusiasts participated in the marathon.

The purpose of "Tri4All" triathlon competition is to promote a healthy lifestyle and contribute to the activation of sports life in the republic. The event also contributes to the development of sports tourism around Lake Sevan, serving as an excellent example.

TriClub Yerevan pays special attention to the preservation of the Sevan ecosystem, it is a priority both in the case of the Tri4All competition and all other formats. Participation in the competition is free. All safety rules are observed during the event.
