At its meeting on 6 September 2012 the government adopted a decision which says the implementation term of Arpa-Sevan tunnel reconstruction project is reduced. The project is implemented with the financial support of Abu-Dhabi Fund for Development and joint funding by the Armenian Government. At first, the project implementation deadline was set 2017, as it’s mentioned in the reply from the State Committee for Water Industry to Gavar Aarhus Center Coordinator Liana Asoyan dated in January 2011. The State Industry also mentioned implementation term – 2017 and the amount - 35 million USD. What else, beside term, should be reduced in the present government decision, is not clear, as no other information is available on amounts, loan ranges etc.
