“Sturki” LLC intends to exploit the Shenaghbyur section of the Otevan tuff mine in the Aragatsotn region of the Republic of Armenia, but some residents of the Otevan settlement are against the exploitation of the new mine.
On December 24, 2025, “Sturki” LLC held its first public discussion in the Otevan settlement. The hearings took place in a tense atmosphere. A group of residents spoke out against the exploitation of the new mine, noting that they already have tuff mines.
The Metsadzor community council must decide whether to give consent or not.
Ecolur joins the alarm of the residents of the Otevan settlement and directs it to the Aragatsotn regional administration of the Republic of Armenia and the Metsadzor community to take into account the concerns of residents.
