Activist-supporters of Teghout help Teghout villagers to find alternative ways of development instead of selling their land areas for peanuts to mining industry. Teghout turns into a model of fighting for long-term future against short-tem destroying present. It’s already several days since activists have been conducting “Teghout: Mine or Life” action, in the frames of which they provide market for village beekeepers. The honey has been brought from Teghout. Activists don’t charge anything for their help. The statement disseminated on social networks says, “The whole money will be given to villagers who gave honey for sale. By buying honey from Teghout, you help to prevent illegal and catastrophic program in Teghout.”
Reminder: public campaign for Teghout has been running for several years. People oppose to the project of Teghout copper and molybdenum opencast development implemented by Vallex Group Company.
