

Due to the "military" situation, Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center SNCO of ME of RA will carry out professional water safety studies of the upper reaches of the catchment basin of Arpa-Vorotan rivers in Qarvachar area. For this purpose, by the decision of July 1, the executive will provide a grant of 38,360.0 thousand AMD to this SNCO of RA Environment Ministry.
"Based on the situation, it is necessary to increase the frequency of sampling in the upper reaches of the above-mentioned rivers, using water quality training tests, which will allow to find out the changes in water quality in minutes and respond quickly.
In order to fully assess the water quality, it is also necessary to monitor radioactive contamination of water in the upper reaches of the above-mentioned rivers.
At the same time, there is a need to monitor radioactive contamination of the air or ground cover," the decision says.
The necessary equipment for the mentioned monitoring works will be acquired within the allocations of the Environment Ministry envisaged by the state budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2021.
