

The level of Lake Sevan has started to drop. This year, the lake level reached its maximum mark on June 14, making 1900.77 m. According to the data provided by "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" of RA Environment Ministry, this mark was maintained until June 20. From June 21, the lake level began to decrease. On June 27, it made up 1900.75 m. It should be noted that water is currently being taken from Lake Sevan for irrigation. 33,114 million cubic meters of water have already been released from the lake. This year it is planned to take up to 170 million cubic meters of water from the lake. 142.224 million cubic meters of water flowed into the lake through Arpa-Seva tunnel since the beginning of the year. As of June 27, the lake level is 6 cm lower than the level of the same day last year.
