On November 10, 2025, it was reported that an administrative proceeding had been initiated by RA Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body based on an alatm signal regarding the pollution of a water source in Vayots Dzor Region.
It has been determined that between November 1 and 8, 2025, STROYMONTAGE LLC carried out earthworks for the construction of an underground trench for power line installation at a distance of 20 meters from the water source, during which the flows feeding the water source were damaged.
Water sampling conducted from nearby springs and streams adjacent to the polluted source recorded no contamination.
The director of the company has been held administratively liable for violating water resource protection rules.
