Due to the penetration of an active cyclone from the south, on March 27–28 precipitation is expected periodically in most regions of the republic. In mountainous zones, it will fall as wet snow, while in foothill and valley areas it will be in the form of rain. Precipitation will be accompanied by low horizontal visibility and wind intensification up to 14–17 m/s in some areas.
According to the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center, precipitation will be intense on March 27 in some parts of Syunik and Vayots Dzor, and on March 27–28 in Lori and Tavush.
As a result of the expected precipitation, an increase in river discharge is anticipated across the republic. Particularly significant increases are forecast in the basins of the Voghji, Gorisget, Meghriget, Arpa, Debed, and Aghstev rivers.
