Vallex Group has disseminated a press release in regard with the breakdown at Alaverdi Copper Smelting Combine, which says, “Taking into consideration the press publications, we would like to state that an industrial breakdown occurred at Alaverdi Copper Smelting Combine at 18:00 p.m. on 31 March. A part of the pipes collapsed…For about one hour the pipe was working ineffectively…Immediately after the breakdown urgent measures were taken and the normal course of the operation was resumed at 19:10 p.m: the breakdown had a temporary nature. The cause of the breakdown was the wear of pipes having served from 1997... Currently works are conduced to renovate the pipes,” the press release says.
