The public discussions of opencast mining expansion project in Amoulsar are carried out almost simultaneously, which must be carried out by Geoteam Company, Armenian subsidiary of Lidian International. The public hearings on the expansion version were organized by 'Ecoaudit' LLC in Saravan Village, Vayots Dzor Region, on 12 March together with the rural administration. This statement was published on the official website of Nature Protection Ministry on 7 March, i.e. one working day before carrying out discussions.
The second discussion, conference on 'Impact of Amoulsar Gold Mine in Jermuk Resort Zone' will be held on 13 March at the initiative of Jermuk youth.
It should be mentioned that Jermuk town is mentioned in the section of 'Socio-economic Conditions' in Geoteam company project, but the section doesn't contain any information about Jermuk. It should be added that about 6000 people live in Jermuk, who are engaged mainly with resort and tourism business. Saravan village has 272 people dealing with rural activities.
