"Jermuk development center" NGO published its response to Geoteam Company, which on 24.05.2012 circulated a press release in regard with the public discussions of Amoulsar gold mine development on 21 May. The response particularly says, “The date of meeting with the working group was agreed, while the official response of the company to the sent invitation said, ““Geoteam” CJSC, in accordance with the Armenian legislation, held public hearings in the communities located in the project affected zone on 12 March 2012 and 30 March 2012. On 18 April 2012 the public discussion was also held at Nature Protection Ministry of Armenia, while in June 2012 it’s planned to hold public hearings in the frames of international social and environmental impact assessment. Consequently, “Geoteam” CJSC doesn’t consider it reasonable to take part in the discussion of 21 May. The company response said nothing about the company leaders to be busy and there is no offer to postpone the discussions. “Geoteam” CJSC refused to take part in the discussion on 12 March, which he organized in Jermuk explaining this with improper informing.
