From now on environmental issues of the capital, Yerevan, will be addressed by “Greening and Environmental Protection” SNCO.
On December 16, 2019, Yerevan Aldermen’s Council approved Mayor’s draft decision. “We are starting a process that has never been done by the community, sorting out the garbage and thereby solving major environmental issues. Dangerous garbage dumps will also be set up, something the Soviet Union has never spoken about: Garbage collection, transportation, etc. whole Europe has followed this way,” the official website of Yerevan Municipality cites Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan.
