On April 3 “Green Ocean” civic initiative carried out a tree planting in Yerevan Botanical Garden. Mainly dry-resistant trees have been planted. “Our aim is to draw public attention to the Botanical Garden, to involve public in the problems the Garden has, the solution to these problems and to set up a Club of Botanical Garden Friends. The tree planting in the Botanical Garden is an example to show how to set up a non-formal educational structure for nature development,” said Armen Sargsyan, Coordinator of “Green Ocean” civic initiative coordinator.
