“Geoteam” CJSC has submitted the original document of the international environmental expertise of Amoulsar mine to the Environmental Expertise Department, which is dated on 5 October 2012. The announcement about this document is displayed on the official website of Nature Protection Ministry, nevertheless, the document itself is missing and the same situation is on the official website of the company.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development tool part in the preparation of social and environmental impact assessment as international consultants, which possesses assets in the Amoulsar project. In the letter to EcoLur, the bank assured that “the issues raised by the State Environmental Expertise will be taken into consideration in the EBRD’s ultimate decision.”
Reminder: the State Environmental Expertise has issued a positive opinion to “Geoteam” Company on the opencast mine development project of Amoulsar gold mine, but put forward additional conditions before the company.
