Herher community, Vayots Dzor Region, Armenia, will have four new solar photovoltaic stations, each with an installed capacity of 5 MW.
RA Environment Ministry issued a positive conclusion to the applications filed by interconnected companies "Sun Solar", "Dustr Solar", "Arm Solar" and "I Solar".
All four expert opinions were issued subject to the mandatory fulfillment of the same requirements. In particular, the Ministry demands regular monitoring of environmental components during the construction and operation of solar power plants, and the development of a post-project analysis program that should be accessible to public stakeholders and the public.
The companies plan to store hazardous waste generated during the operation at the waste storage site, after which it will be handed over to a licensed company, which will carry out its transportation and management.
