The article entitled "Invaders of Yeghegis River" by "Green Armenia" Environmental and Educational NGO was published on the website, www.ecolur.org, on June 6 2022. Among a number of SHPPs, "Gornar" was presented in the response letter of Vayots Dzor Regional Head Ararat Grigoryan. In this regard, EcoLur received a letter from Executive Director of "Green Energy American Concern" LLC, official representative of "Investment Control Products" company in Armenia, Tatevik Asatryan, which states:
The article published by you on June 6, 2022, "Invaders of Yeghegis River"- Ecolur, in which there is a reference to "Gornar" SHPP by "Green Energy American Concern" LLC, contains misinformation and slander about the above-mentioned station, in particular:
"We learn from the response letter of Vayots Dzor regional governor Ararat Grigoryan that, in particular, "Gornar" SHPP did not have a waterproof well provided for in the project for wastewater disposal. There are no water meters at the intake point, which does not allow obtaining reliable information on the volume of intake from the Arpa River. "Gornar" SHPP is operated by "Green Energy America Concern", which has been owned by "Investment Control Products", located in Wyoming, Prauner Avenue, USA since April 22, 2020.
"Gornar" SHPP was inspected this year by the Nature Protection and Mining Inspection Body, whereas its reference issued on April 12, 2022, which confirmed that no violations were found in the SHPP. The reference is attached.
As for the water meter, let me mention that on April 26, 2019, a water meter was installed, which, by the way, is online according to the relevant point of WW. Regarding this, I present the sealing act of water meter No. 000098 approved by Water Resources Management Agency of RA Ministry of Nature Protection. The water meter was sealed in accordance with the procedure agreed with RA Ministry of Nature Protection, otherwise it could not be sealed.
Considering the above-mentioned, I demand to review the article in part. There are no water meters at the intake point, which does not allow obtaining reliable information on the volume of intake from the Arpa River. This is a clear misinformation that has a direct impact on business reputation."
