The Eurasian Development Bank provides a grant of USD 1,719,200 to Armenia for "Energy Efficient Regions: Implementation of Energy Saving Mechanisms in Public Buildings and Support to Development of Green Energy" in order to implement the grant project.
On July 7, the executive made a corresponding decision to implement the project.
The goals of the project are:
· In 20 buildings of public importance (school, kindergarten, hospital) an increase in the level of energy saving by 50 percent, which will lead to an annual saving of 3,000 mWh of electricity and a reduction of 700 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
· Establishment and development support of infrastructure entities providing energy services.
· Increasing awareness among the representatives of at least 20 regional administrative bodies about the mechanisms of attracting energy saving credits and the efficiency of energy saving.
