Studies are being carried out with the financing of the World Bank Group's International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the safe operation and efficiency improvement of Sevan-Hrazdan hydrocascade. In February 2021, IFC and "International Power Corporation" CJSC signed an agreement to launch these activities. As the IPC website says, by order of "IPC" CJSC, IFC will carry out a comprehensive study to assess the volume of necessary investments in Sevan-Hrazdan cascade, to determine their priority, and to assess feasibility.
According to the IFC website, the budget of "Rehabilitation of Sevan-Hrazdan HPPs" project makes up $185,000.00.
