The residents of Urut settlement in Lori Region, Armenia, did not allow "Jin Holding Limited" LLC to hold public hearings in their place of residence. Thus, the third attempt to organize public hearings for Urut mineral field (polymetallic) in Stepanavan mining area, Lori Region, in 2021-2024 for the Preliminary Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) application of geological prospecting failed as well.
While the locals oppose any activity, their position was prescribed in the protocol, the representatives of "Jin Holding Limited" LLC demanded to draw up another document, which will indicate who is in favor and who is against the public hearing. The locals and the local self government body did not agree to draw up such a document.
