In the frames of the lifetime extension and modernization of the second power unit of the ANPP around 690 equipment has undergone examination this year, which have been carried out during planned preventative maintenance.
According to Artem Petrosyan, Head of the Nuclear Energy Department of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia, 37 programs of the rationale of systems and remaining resources of structures have been developed, and 126 initial conclusions have been issued.
According to the set schedule, the delivery of the equipment subject to modernization has been launched. Under Artem Petrosyan, equipment replacement works will launch during the planned preventative maintenance in 2018.
Reminder: the lifetime extension program of the second power unit of the ANPP is implemented under the agreement signed by the governments of the Republic of Armenia and Russian Federation at the expense of 270 million USD loan and 30 million USD grant.
