According to “ArmAtom” Nuclear power plant operation research institute director Vahram Petrosyan, PhD in Technical Sciences, the new nuclear power plant can’t be qualified as “ultramodern”, “Unfortunately, they have chosen “NPP-92” project, which could be a litter bit more up-to-date. We are already approaching 2010: 20 years have passed. How the project for 1997 could be ultramodern?”
Number one obstacle for constructing a new power unit at NPP is the lack of financial resources, while this problem can’t be solved without serious investors. The Energy and Natural resources Ministry should have invited a conference seeking for investors last spring, nevertheless, it didn’t take place because of no stakeholders.
