Health Ministry asserts that it oversees the sanitary situation in the area of garbage dumping near Metsamor, in the territory of Gardening Society. In its reply letter to EcoLur (АК/6872-12 dated on 14.07.2012), the Ministry asserts that in the territory of Gardening Society, next to Metsamor town, 'extremely unsanitary situation has been set up, 'the mud torrent has overflown the drain passage, reached the garbage dump of Metsamor town and carried away a part of garbage dump, which turned out to be in the territory of Gardening Society. The mud torrent has also flooded wells from where people get water for irrigation...an extremely unsanitary situation has been set up,' the letter says. Then Health Ministry informs that no unsafe condition has been detected in the water supply system of drinking water and no violation of sanitary standards are observed in drinking water.
