On 4 August the executive made a decision to allot 40 million AMD to Nature Protection Ministry for developing the management plan of Ararat Valley water basin. The need to develop a management plan is conditioned with the disastrous situation of the water resources in Ararat Valley. The plan will include the management plans for surface and underground water resources of Ararat water basin. Under the official information, the plan development and enforcement will balance the supply and demand of the water resources, the possible risks of emergency states in the water basin will be detected, their prevention and reduction will be outlined.
The deadline for developing the management plan of Ararat Valley water basin is 1 September 2015.
