

"MEL METAL" LLC intends to recycle lead-acid batteries and metal waste disposed of in Artashat Town, Ararat Region. The fourth public discussion on the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report of the works submitted by the company for examination will be held in the Artashat Municipality building at 11:00 a.m. on November 10, 2022.
According to the company's EIA report, there is currently a main production building and several auxiliary buildings in the area.
"MEL METAL" LLC plans to collect only lead-acid batteries. Immediately, the number of batteries will vary between 2100-2200 tons per year.
It should be noted that the closest residential house to the factory is only 302 m away.
According to the EIA report, during the company's activity, the maximum annual emission of sulfuric acid can be 0.026 tons per year, and the emission of suspended particles - 0.13 tons per year. The maximum amount of waste containing lead will be 2000 tons per year.
