Around 40,000 trees and plants have been planted in Yerevan, 34,000 trees - covered with lime, 16,000 tree species have been designed and around 1,800,000 flowers have been planted, as the official website of Yerevan Municipality. The construction of 21-kilometer-long new irrigation system as set by Yerevan Development Plan for 2013 has also been finished, which resulted in making around 70 ha of green zone irrigable. Four ha of new meadows have been created and 10 ha – replanted. The works implemented in the frames of this work will result in making the total green zone of the capital around 850 ha.
