Unit 2 of Armenian Nuclear Power Plant Reconnected to Armenia’s Unified Power System
Following the completion of the 2026 planned preventive maintenance (PPM) works, Unit 2 of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) was restarted and reconnected to Armenia’s unified power system on 1 September, in accordance with the scheduled timeline, as the official ANPP website informs.
 
As part of PPM-2026, around 20 comprehensive measures were implemented to improve the reliability of the unit’s main systems and equipment, extend their service life, and continuously enhance the level of safety.
 
Reminder: the operation of Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant was suspended starting from 1 April.
