Yerevan resident Zara Allahverdyan has sent EcoLur the photos of the felled down trees in Ring Park in Yerevan. She mentioned she had seen felled down trees in the area upwards Saint Gregory the Illuminator up to the lake in the garden.
“I noticed newly felled down trees during my walk on 1 February. I called the hotline of the Municipality: later I received calls from different employees of the municipality to specify the exact location of the tree felling – yesterday I received a reply that it was a sanitary felling of branches. Nevertheless, trees had been cut down from their trunks,’ the resident writes.
EcoLur is expecting the response of Yerevan Municipality and RA Environmental and Mining Inspection Body on the tree felling.
