New alarm from Armavir: trees at Yerevanyan and Hanrapetutyun crossroads are being cut down in Armavir. Our informer told “EcoLur” this information in the letter addressed to us. Under the informer, 200 meters of Town Park along Hanrapetutyun Street is going to be sold. Armavir residents call tree felling a dendrocide usually followed by the sale of that particular territory. “Public gets aware of the civil works after they have already started,” the letter says which also mentions Armavir Mayor Ruben Khlghatyan as a person who has permitted tree felling. “In near future tree felling will be conducted in the territory of the garden adjacent to Jivani Garden,” the letter author is worried, “if the authorities are honest in their statements, let them clear out this matter and calm down their own people.”
